A Gordon Ramsay restaurant is sure to please in New Jersey’s casino capital.

Gordon Ramsay has announced the newest addition to his restaurant lineup: Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill, which will be opening inside the former Mia’s space at the Caesars casino resort in Atlantic City. The restaurant will be traditional British pub fare in a “sophisticated environment” with a little bit of “Garden State flair.” With the announcement of several Atlantic City casinos closing, and the city’s profits quickly dwindling, this news could actually help boost the depressed city’s revival.

“With the announcement of Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill at Caesars, Atlantic City continues to elevate itself as a culinary destination, one that features big television personalities, celebrity chefs, and now a Michelin-rated chef,” said Kevin Ortzman, President of Caesars and Bally’s Atlantic City. “Guests and fans can expect the menu at Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill to feature some of Chef Ramsay’s most well-known English Pub-style comfort foods while also taking advantage of the region’s natural resources and local farms.”

When it comes to the menu, think classic British favorites like bangers and mash, fish and chips, and roasted chicken, as well as some Ramsay favorites that you can find on many of his menus like London broil, and the menu will be changing seasonally. The pub will also have 30 beers on tap from all over the world.

The 250-seat restaurant will feature a bar, outdoor patio, lounge, and a few dining rooms.

Needless to say, I’m really excited to check it out the next time I’m in AC. Review: Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill At Caesars Atlantic City

A few months back, we told you about the opening of Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill at Caesars Atlantic City, and we couldn’t wait to make another trip to Atlantic City so that we could try out some of Gordon Ramsay’s famous dishes for ourselves. That day finally came last weekend, and it was definitely worth the wait!

As you would expect given the name of the restaurant, Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill features items consistent with British pub fare. You’ll find classic British favorites such as bangers and mash and Yorkshire rib roast, as well as some of Ramsay’s favorites like beef wellington and wood-grilled lobster tail prepared on an oak-fired grill. Paying homage to a true English pub, Chef Ramsay made sure a steak & ale pie, sticky toffee pudding and of course, the ale-battered fish & chips were included on his menu.

We started off with an order of Molasses and Brown Ale Glazed Wings, which is served with jalapenos and crumbled stilton blue cheese. There were countless people on Yelp raving about how good these wings were, so I had to see what all the fuss was about. Honestly, these were some of the best wings I’ve ever had, with amazing flavor and just a touch of heat from the jalapenos. They’re incredibly messy, but oh so worth it.

In an attempt to add something healthy to the meal, we got salads next. I got the GR Wedge, while my wife got the Pub Caesar. Despite their elaborate presentations, they were pretty standard salads, and nothing to write home about. Next time I’ll probably skip the salad so I have more room for something else.

Next up was the main course. As a long-time Hell’s Kitchen fan, I had no choice but to get Gordon Ramsay’s signature Beef Wellington. For those who have never experienced a beef wellington before, it’s a filet mignon wrapped in phyllo dough with wild mushroom ductile, prosciutto and port wine sauce. It’s rare that you find a restaurant serving beef wellington anymore, so whenever I get the chance, I always order it. This one was second to none, and given how many I saw being served that night, it looks to be their most popular dish.

My wife couldn’t decide between a few of the Classic Ramsay dishes, ultimately going with the Pan Roasted Sea Bass at the behest of our waitress. WOW! This might have been the best sea bass I’ve ever had, served on a bed of butternut squash risotto with maple-sage brown butter. She liked it so much that she is already planning on coming back for her birthday, just so she can get this dish!

For a side, we ordered the Lobster Mac N’ Cheese, which was unbelievably rich and decadent. Sweet Maine lobster, English cheddar, and herb crumbs make this the most amazing mac & cheese you’ll ever bite into. At $23, it’s by far the priciest side on the menu, but they give you a HUGE portion, so if you have a party of 4-5 you can easily share this.

When our waitress came over to take our dessert order, I was FULL. But given how much I’d heard about the Sticky Toffee Pudding (which is apparently Gordon Ramsay’s mother’s recipe), I had to push through the pain and give it a shot. My wife ordered the Warm Chocolate Sponge, which comes with a side of Rocky Road ice cream. Both desserts were really good, you can’t go wrong either way. It was a great way to end the meal.

All in all, we had an amazing experience at Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill Atlantic City, and I highly recommend making a reservation here so that you can experience his food for yourself. You won’t be disappointed!


Caesars Tackles Gordon Ramsay Restaurants in Bankruptcy

As part of its bankruptcy cost-cutting efforts, Caesars Entertainment Operating Co. is targeting Gordon Ramsay.

The casino company negotiated new deals to allow the celebrity chef, who has cultivated a fiery public persona, to continue operating his Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill restaurants at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas and Caesars Atlantic City. Caesars says the new agreements should save it some $144,000 a year---including reduced licensing fees owed to Mr. Ramsay---and preserve an “important and successful” part of its casinos.

Caesars wants a Chicago bankruptcy judge to let it exit the existing deals and to approve the new deals, the terms of which it filed with the court. The agreements reveal some interesting tidbits about the partnership between a major casino operator and a celebrity chef.

The 10-year deals, which include an optional five-year extension, allow Mr. Ramsay to develop the restaurants’ menus but require that they mostly include “pub-style dishes” like the shepherd’s pie and fish and chips currently available.

For the Las Vegas location, Mr. Ramsay must visit at least once a year, for at least 24 consecutive hours, and must be willing to be photographed. In return, Caesars will pay his airfare--- either first class or by providing a private jet---and provide “three deluxe rooms” at its hotel. The “Hell’s Kitchen” and “MasterChef” star doesn’t have to pay for the rooms but must foot “all incidental room charges,” albeit at a 30% discount.


Gordon Ramsay to Open First Steakhouse in Atlantic City

Set to be the most highly anticipated restaurant opening in Atlantic City this summer, multi-Michelin-star Chef Gordon Ramsay and Caesars Entertainment announced the restaurateur, TV personality and author will bring his first steakhouse concept to the iconic seaside gaming destination. Gordon Ramsay Steak is scheduled to open at Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City over Memorial Day weekend, at the start of the summer season.

Building on the success of the first Gordon Ramsay Steak at Paris on the Las Vegas strip, which first opened in 2012 and Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill at Caesars Atlantic City, which opened in 2015, the celebrated television personality Gordon Ramsay will bring his acclaimed steakhouse experience to Harrah’s Resort this summer. Atlantic City, one of the East Coast’s leading gaming destinations will debut the first Gordon Ramsay Steak in the tri-state area – set to be a premier dining destination not only in the Atlantic City region, but will also attract visitors from New York, New Jersey, Philadelphia and beyond.

Star of Fox’s “Hell’s Kitchen,” “The F Word with Gordon Ramsay,” “24 Hours to Hell & Back,” and “MasterChef” among other popular programs, Ramsay first introduced the acclaimed steakhouse at Paris Las Vegas, where it has received rave reviews since opening.

The opening of Gordon Ramsay Steak at Harrah’s Resort is the next step in a growing relationship between Caesars Entertainment, owner and the operator of Bally’s, Caesars, and Harrah’s Resort AC. The Gordon Ramsay Group operates a total of 33 restaurants globally.

Ramsay’s vision for the restaurant is reflected in the dishes on the modern steakhouse’s menu. Gordon Ramsay Steak showcases prime beef dry-aged for a minimum of 28 days and cuts such as the 32-ounce Royal Long-bone Chop for two as well as American Kobe. With a nod to his British roots, Ramsay has expanded on the traditional land and sea offerings and developed a menu that is both distinctive and creative. Ramsay’s Beef Wellington and Sticky Toffee Pudding dishes, which have been popular items at Gordon Ramsay Steak in Las Vegas and Baltimore, will be signature items on Ramsay’s Atlantic City menu.

Beyond the plethora of well-known dishes, Gordon Ramsay Steak will feature hundreds of labels in its extensive wine collection and feature barrel-aged cocktail classics with a twist.

Gordon Ramsay Steak will complement Harrah’s current profile of restaurants, joining Martorano’s (Italian) and Veracruz (Spanish/Mexican fare) to offer guests diverse and premier dining experiences under one roof.
